Jeanelle, who joined the Waikiki Health care team in 2008, provides Primary Medical Care to the agency’s growing number of patients and a continuum of services and support to HIV patients. She is responsible for the diagnosis, medication management, treatment and preventive care plans of multiple conditions, including HIV/AIDS, hepatitis, diabetes, hypertension, anxiety, depression, substance abuse, MRSA and homelessness.

Jeanelle received her Master’s Degree in Physician Assistant Studies from Pacific University. During clinical rotations, she studied Traditional Chinese Medicine at the Wenzhou Medical College and Hospital in Wenzhou, China; and dermatology, family practice and community medicine in Hawaii and on the mainland. When not serving as a primary care provider, she enjoys running, dancing and kickboxing classes.

In regard to working in community health, Jeanelle says, “Everyday presents a new face, a new challenge or new opportunity that I embrace fully in the population that is Waikiki Health ohana.”
