Richard Kaai, Director of Homeless Services, joined Waikiki Health in 2013. He has over 15 years of experience in the homeless services field in Hawaii. Previously, he worked with the Honolulu Community Action Program (HCAP) as a community outreach case manager for homeless on the Windward and North Shore communities. Richard’s professional experience also includes managing halfway houses for homeless and incarcerated individuals. Additionally, he is actively involved in the state’s Continuum of Care (CoC) homeless data and oversite committees. Richard has been the Director of Homeless Services at Waikiki Health’s Keauhou Shelter in McCully-Moiliili since its opening in January 2021.
