James Nelson is a retired attorney who did in-house international corporate work for more than 15 years. He also worked as a session attorney and bill analyst for both the Hawaii State House of Representatives and the Hawaii State Senate. He received his law degree (JD) from the William S. Richardson School of Law, University of Hawaii at Manoa and bachelor’s degree from Princeton University.

James enjoys traveling, swimming, reading and music, and he also speaks Japanese, French, Chinese and Spanish.
