Daniel Saltman, M.D., FACP

Dr. Saltman is a Board Certified internist at Waikiki Health, and also serves as an Associate Clinical Professor for the University of Hawaii’s John A. Burns School of Medicine. Dr. Saltman practices general internal medicine and also treats patients with viral hepatitis. He has been Course Director for the 2012 and 2013 Viral Hepatitis Hawai`i Update Conferences. Prior to joining Waikiki Health, Dr. Saltman served as an internist at another Hawai`i community health center, Kalihi-Palama; and as Medical Director at St. Francis Health Center, Iwilei, in Honolulu.

Dr. Saltman was Clinical Director for the University of Hawaii Telemedicine Project and was clinical leader for the G.E. Centricity Electronic Medical Records implementation at Kalihi-Palama Health Center. He was Principal Investigator on a National Library of Medicine grant that provided access and training to clinicians to use electronic resources. Areas of special interest include viral hepatitis, applied technology related to clinical medicine, information systems design and population-based healthcare.
