Chair of Marketing & Development

Phyllis served twice as Waikiki Health’s Board President (2011-2012 and 2012-2013). Currently, she is the Chair of Marketing and Development.

Phyllis formerly held the position of Manager, Government Relations for Kaiser Permanente Hawaii. Previously she was Public Health Fund Administrator for the Chamber of Commerce of Hawaii, and also served as the Chamber’s Director of Government Affairs.

Phyllis was a Legislative Researcher at the Hawaii State Capitol for Representative Les Ihara, Jr.; and Legislative Analyst/Research Assistant for City Council member Leigh-Wai Doo. She also served as Program Coordinator for the Muscular Dystrophy Association in Honolulu.

Phyllis earned a M.A. Degree in American Studies and Bachelor’s Degree in Journalism from the University of Hawaii at Manoa. She is a graduate of Radford High School in Honolulu.
