Policy

Waikiki Health is prepared to respond to a natural or human-made disaster, suspected case of bioterrorism, or other emergency in a manner that protects the health and safety of patients, visitors, and staff, and that is coordinated with a community-wide response to a large-scale disaster. All employees will be prepared to fulfill their duties as part of a team effort to provide the best possible emergency care in any situation. Supervisors at each level of the organization will ensure that employees are aware of their responsibilities.

Waikiki Health will maintain service delivery, or restore services as rapidly as possible following an emergency that disrupts those services. As soon as the safety of patients, visitors, and staff has been assured, the clinic will give priority to providing or ensuring patient access to health care.
